EXANTE's lecture at SSE Riga
SSE Riga
On March 14, 2017 Karlis Liepins, quantitative analyst at EXANTE, will give a lecture at the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga. The lecture will be dedicated to the basics of algorithmic trading.
SSER is a business school founded in 1994 in Riga by the Stockholm School of Economics. The mission of school is to provide state-of-the-art education in economics and business that contributes to the economic and social development of the region, in particular the Baltic countries.
This spring, SSER together with EXANTE will hold a Finance Challenge competition for high-school and university students on Corporate Finance, Financial Reporting and Analysis, Valuation, Investment Banking, Portfolio Management and Macroeconomics.
In the run-up-to Finance Challenge, we are glad to share our expertise in trading with students. During the lecture, Karlis will touch upon the main aspects of the algorithmic trading and give examples of:
- Objectives of algorithmic trading
- Various types of algorithms
- The process of creating one
- Testing and evaluation
- Understanding the possible pitfalls (and solutions)
